The Fox Family first came to BICC in the summer of 1988 when we lived in Kalamazoo. We spent many wonderful weeks at the church and on the island through the summers during the 1990s when our children were young. Many of our best family vacation memories wrap around Beaver Island. Joseph, the pastor for this week, has been a Christian school teacher and administrator, missionary, and soccer referee. He is currently serving as the Newaygo County Commission on Aging Director. A new challenge as he joins the ranks of the sexagenarians and other baby-boomers who are in or nearing retirement, better known as the “best rest” of our lives.
