My name is Dave Martin. I have been coming to Beaver Island for 40 years, often to speak at the Christian Church when there is an opportunity. 

I came to know Jesus Christ as my Savior a little over 50 years ago.  Within a couple of years I felt that God wanted me to be a minister and I left working in a factory to go off to college in Canada and then to seminary in Oregon. After six years of school I came back to Michigan to pastor.

In my first pastorate, I married my wife, Mary. We have been married for 42 years and have been blessed with four children and 12 grandchildren. We retired about ten years ago, but have remained busy working in various churches. Over the years, it has been a special blessing to ride the boat to Beaver Island, to enjoy Lake Michigan, and to come to know a little of the Island culture.

The church family is very welcoming. We hope to meet some of you soon.
