Last week we learned that God has many names because one name doesn’t fully describe Him, and one name can’t communicate all of who He is.   This week we will discuss honoring and revering His names.  To prepare, read Matthew 6:9, Isaiah 42:8, and Exodus 3:1.

Last week we learned that Elohim cares enough about His creation to bring order out of chaos.  Elohim is a great name because He is a great and powerful God.   This week we will begin learning about Jehovah.  To prepare, read Exodus 2:11-15 and Exodus 3:11-16. 

Last week we learned that Jehovah is “I AM WHO I AM” the name most commonly used in the Old Testament.   This week we will discuss Jehovah’s nature and character.  To prepare read Genesis 2:7-22, John 8:58-59, Exodus 33:7-11, Mark 10:13-15, and Luke 10:39.

Last week we learned that if we recognize God as Adonai, owner of all things, we must submit to His ownership of us.   This week we will learn how God’s power can make you qualified for the tasks He calls you to do.  To prepare, read Judges 6:11-18, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and Luke 6:46. 

Last week we learned that approaching God as Adonai, the owner of all creation, requires obedience and sacrifice.   This week we will discuss Jehovah Nissi, the LORD My Banner, which means God has made Himself evident and available for those who look to Him in times of need.  To prepare read Exodus 17:1-15.
