Last week we began our study of the fourth quality of the fruit of the Spirit which is patience.  We learned two important Greek words, hupomone and makrothumia.  Both are vital in the life of a believer, but only one of them is a quality of the fruit of the Spirit.  We first focused on hupomone which is translated as perseverance and endurance and learned that hope inspires hupomone. We discussed the story of Job as an example of this kind of patience.  

This week we are going to study makrothumia which is translated as patience toward others that results from being filled with the Holy Spirit.  To prepare you may want to read Genesis 6, 2 Peter 2:5, and Genesis 8:15-9:17.
